ENGIE in Ukraine, a long-term partnership

After 25 years of presence in Ukraine, ENGIE cemented its commitment to the Ukrainian energy market by creating a local subsidiary - ENGIE Energy Management Ukraine – in August 2016.  Active on wholesale activities (imports, transmission, storage, trade), it is now supplying major industrial customers.  An agreement on gas transmission and storage has also been signed with UkrTransGas, the Ukrainian Transmission System Operator, allowing the company to reserve transport and gas storage capacities. ENGIE is now the first European energy player to be actively involved in Ukraine's wholesale gas market.
It is also investigating other opportunities to strengthen its participation in Ukraine's Energy Transition.
